If you are not truly passionate about your blogging it will show in your content and your efforts will seem more like work. Ugh! Having a sincere interest in or knowledge of the subject matter you’re posting about will make your blogging experience more enjoyable and profitable.
Choose a Domain Name Your OWN
Having a domain name that is relevant to your topic is a key component to any successful blog marketing campaign. It is ALWAYS best to own the domain name since it gives you more control and enables you to ‘brand’ this name for your blogging purposes.
Free sites are all well and good but if you plan to make a serious impact you’ll want to host your own site with your own domain name. You will be regarded more highly this way!
Post Regularly
By maintaining a regulated posting schedule your readers will know to expect fresh content encouraging them to visit more frequently.
Write for Your Readers
As readers post comments learn to read and react to them. Whether it is a suggestion or perhaps an expressed interest, give your readers what they want. It is after all the readers you are writing for.
Monetize Your Blog
If your intent is to make money blogging you’ll want to set up some system allowing you to optimize your blog. You may select to display banners or text ads. Perhaps you may choose to place links within your post to an off site sales pages. Choose what is comfortable for you and works best within your blog marketing campaign.

1) Find your Niche â Now when I saw this Tip, I didnât even knew whatâs a niche. What it means to me is your interests. For Eg. -My Blog Realtrix is about Internet & Web and Computing Stuff. Similarly you should find your Interest about what you are going to Blog about. Some Ideas I think you can be blogging about are Blogging, Computing, Tech, Motivation, Entrepreneurship, Music, Bollywood, Parental, Personal & Education.
2) Find which Blogging SW you are going to Use â The are many. The most Popular is WordPress & Blogger. Lets be straight WordPress is much better than Blogger. BUT is better as it not 100% free. Hence, Blogger is the Best Option. I am using Blogger as Its highly Customizable. Also Blogger is a part of Google Services.
3) How to Start & what to write â Before making your own blog see what other Bloggers are doing and writing about on the same topic you are going to write about. Then make a list of Stuff they are not Writing about but you think should be written about. Now you know what to write about in your Blog.

I decided to start a blog because I enjoy writing. My first blog post wasn’t very attention-grabbing, but I wanted to write about my personal experiences. Secretly, I imagined a career as a freelance writer. One day, instead of daydreaming about becoming a writer, I began researching information about the social networking industry. I was amazed by how many people blog on a daily basis and I wanted to become a part of this fascinating social phenomenon. So, I frequently browse the internet and visit book stores or libraries for more information.
Here’s a few tips that I learned to help boost your blogging skills:
Writing good quality content helps you to establish credibility. No one likes to read something that they don’t understand or is misleading. Meaningful topics that are well thought out can increase traffic to your blog, instead of making posts that are filled with a bunch of fluff. Don’t make blog entries just for the sake of posting because fluff stuff only purpose is to take up space.
You should make every effort to establish a relationship with the reader by encouraging comment discussions. Also, strive to address the reader’s needs and connect through email.
Keep in mind, many people do not read blogs word for word and may start by skimming quickly to see if it’s worth their time. It’s a good idea to break up your content by using bold text, sub sections and add color to text links. Modifying your text will help get your message across to readers that are glancing at your post.
Use a conversational tone because it’s easier to read and smoother to digest. Always use correct spelling and proper punctuation. Proofread your content once or twice before posting your message.
Take your time writing good quality content and be resourceful. Make an effort to help your readers in each post that you make. The internet is filled with millions of readers that share first-hand information and common interests about any number of topics.
Learn from other bloggers mistakes and don’t underestimate the potential of your blog. If you want to start blogging seriously, get your own domain name and hosting service. You’ll have more control over your content and learn what you need to do if you want to monetize your blog.
Don’t forget to backup all your blog posts. Use external devices, such as USB flash drives to save your data or use an online backup service. Remember, computers often crash and your information may not be recoverable.

This article is not intended to give you the newbies course about hosting, installing a blog on your domain and etc. It will give you some serious advice on your blog business Bad blogging habits are easy to get into, and one of the worst is to leave your ‘About’ page unchanged. You know the page: it is provided by Word press as standard and a whole host of bloggers leave it unchanged. Why they do this is known only to them, because this is the first page that a large number of first-time visitors to a blog check out, and the reason why many of them leave without looking further. All you have to do is to say a little about yourself, who you are, and what your blog is about, why you feel qualified to write a blog about this topic and how you can be contacted. If your blog covers a particular niche, rather than being simply a log of personal comments, then your potential readers will want to know why they should believe what you say by reading..
There is nothing wrong with having a personal blog about your personal thoughts on things, but if you are presenting yourself as a form of expert on a specific topic, then you will have to persuade readers that you have a right to do so. You should use your ‘About’ page to do that. Another tip you should take is to claim your blog with Technocratic. This registers it as yours with Technocratic, and you can get a whole load more visitors. Since joining Technocratic most of my blogs’ traffic rocketed. It takes a while for new blogs to get going, but it’s a lot easier if you make use of sites such as Technocratic. The same is true of most of the social Bookmarking sites if traffic is important to you. If you are using a blog to promote a product, then this is essential. If you have a website then doesn’t get lazy and be content to run your blog from a hosting site such as wordpress.com. It is better to download the software from wordpress.org, and host your own blog. You have much more control over the look and feel of it, and can use any of the thousands of plugins that are available online. You can also use any template you want, or even design your own. That way you get total customization of your blog pages, and can make it more distinctive than the majority hosted on Word press or Blogger’s site.

If you monetize using Adsense, a three column layout is even more essential, since you will want a vertical block down one of the columns, in addition to some at the bottom and the middle. A good Adsense layout would be a column to the left or right of the main text column containing a vertical ad unit, a horizontal link unit at the bottom of the blog, and also a horizontal ad unit at the bottom of the latest post. You could also include a search box at the top or bottom of your main sidebar that allows a search either on Google, from which you get income.
