Flipping websites can be a very lucrative and simple way to make money online.  However, just like anything else, you have to know what you’re doing in order to be successful. During these times you may be able to make a lot of money from Adsense due to political advertisements.  However, unless there is a special situation such as an election, certain individuals and topics you will want to steer clear of because you can not really monetize them.

3. Having Poorly Written Content:  People will not want to purchase your website if the content is subpar.  If the grammar is bad or if there are a lot of spelling mistakes, it will be very difficult for people to make money from your website.  Individuals typically don’t want to purchase from websites they deem unprofessional. Having poorly written content screams of unprofessionalism and will make it hard to flip your website.

 4. Pricing Your Website Too High:  Not too long ago you could get away with selling a ten-page website for a couple hundred dollars. The market has since become saturated. It is very difficult to get this amount of money for a website today unless it has high search engine rankings, it is making money or you sell it to people that have no idea of what a website should cost.

5. Shoddy presentation: With all of the free templates available there really is no excuse to have a shoddy looking website.  There are many attractive and professional looking templates that you simply need to add your content to, monetize and then sell them.  You don’t have to build one from scratch unless you have great programming skills.  Really, most of the work is done for you. You will need add your content, create links for all the pages, perhaps add a tagline, some pictures and graphics and then you are ready to go.
